Module H Integration Exercise

Chapter 8 integration corner has some great websites that are beneficial for kids, students, and parents. I found two websites that I think would be great for kids. The websites provide many helpful tips and the sites are easy to use. The first website I found was AAA Math. This website is one of my favorites and kids who need a little extra help in math would benefit from this website. A overview of what the website offers is addition, algebra, comparing, counting, decimals, division, equations, exponents, and many more. I like the website a lot and I think many students would appreciate it for some extra help. The other website I found is called Humane Society International. I think it is important for our kids to learn about our society. This website provides great information and many pictures. Kids would enjoy researching through the information and learning about the world they live in and he many creatures that are around. The website’s I found are great and are beneficial for kids, students, and parents. 

Module G Integration Exercise

Chapter 7 Integration has many great websites I found that are very useful to students, parents, and teachers.  The websites that I enjoyed looking through the most were cool math for parents, extreme science, and funology.  The cool math for parents website is great for new parents with their first child. The website gives parents tips on how to include math in the little everyday things we do like getting dressed, snack time, cooking, counting, patterns, and even while driving. This website could help parents prepare the children for kindergarten. I like the website a lot. The next website that I found interesting was extreme science. The website is the place online for children to go and learn about the world they live in.  The website offers Astronomy, Entomology, Geology, Oceanography, seismology, and zoology. I clicked on astronomy and then clicked on the solar system and you can read about the planets and it shows you pictures. Kids who are looking to go home and learn more about science would find this website very beneficial. It easy to navigate through has many interesting facts about science. The last website I found fun and interesting is Funology. The website offers many different things for kids to learn about. When I entered the website I enter the wacky facts page. The first page I came across was The Human body. And the site tells random facts about our bodies. The website also has many different games. It’s a fun and safe website for kids. After researching through the integration corner I came across many great websites for students, teachers, and parents. 

Module F Integration Exercise

Researching through the integration corner of chapter 6 I came across a website that is great and I would like to share with others.. The site is very user friendly. The website is for children 10 years old and younger, this Web site is colorful and visually appealing. Many games and activities are featured for preschool and primary-aged children including animated storybooks, songs, and games. A place for parents features information on using multimedia with children under the age of 10. The website is a great learning tool and will benefit many students. Another website I found is kids bank. In my opinion it is never to early for kids to learn about money because it is very important in our world. The website is easy to access and students will have fun learning about money. After searching through chapter 6 integration corner I found two great websites that are great for students and easy to use. 

Module E Integration Exercise

Researching through Chapter five Integration corner I found many websites that are great for students and teachers. I found two that I would like to share with everyone that I found beneficial. The first one is the learning planet. This website is fun and has different games for different grade levels.  The website allows students to learn the alphabet, practice math skills, play crossword puzzles and word searches. The website also has a membership that they offer. On the other hand everything I went through was free. The website provides many activities for students and teachers. I enjoyed looking through the site and it’s very easy to use. The other website I found is Pics4Learning. This is a great website for helping students learn many different facts. When I was researching through the site I chose American Sign Language and it offers the alphabet and numbers. I thought that was great. Personally, I really like the website and I’m happy I came across it so I can share with others. I think with technology today sign language is going to become really important to more people. This website would be great for students to take a look at when they are at home because it’s very easy to read and the pictures are great. The website also offers different pictures and facts on many other subjects. After researching through chapter five Integration corner I have found two great websites that are easy to use and are beneficial to students and teachers. 

Module D Integration Exercise

Chapter four Integration Corner has some very useful website’s that can be very beneficial to teachers, parents, and students. I came across three websites I would like to share with everyone. The first website I enjoyed looking at is Children’s Storybooks online. This site offers a variety of stories for every reading level. I chose one of the stories named “The Farm Animals” This particular story would read the words to you and make the sound of all the animals so the child would know. I think that is great because a good study tip for me is putting sounds together with pictures and words. So in my opinion I think this website is great for helping children through their learning process. Another website I found that was interesting is Plane math. This website helps students with math. It’s a user friendly website and a child would enjoy learning and studying their math this way.  I enjoyed doing some of the exercises myself. The website was developed with the help of NASA. It’s a fun and easy way to learn math skills. The last website I would like to share with everyone is Busy teacher’s café. The website is focused on kindergarten through third grade. The website provides quizzes, printables, graphics, and fun activities for teachers to use in their classrooms, and much more. It’s a great website that offers a lot for teachers and a place to get new ideas.  Chapter four offers many great websites for everyone to use and benefit from. 

Module C Integration Exercise

While researching through Chapter three Integration corner I came across many interesting websites for all ages. I chose three to share with everyone. The first website I chose is Goodnight stories. I think the website is wonderful for younger children that can help them improve their reading and writing skills. Kids from all around the world post their stories to this child friendly website.  The website also provides fun games for children to play. The next website I found interesting is Math in daily life. Everyday I hear a child ask the question “When will I ever use this is my life?” When I was younger I asked the same question for many subjects that I was learning in school.  Now that I have found this website I cannot wait to share it with students.  Kids do not exactly understand how much they use math in their daily life.  We use math when cooking, shopping, doing bills, etc.  This website allows students to see how math is very important to our everyday life. The last website I found that I enjoyed was News central. This site is online newspapers and my thoughts are now days we are trying to teach children how to learn computers. And I think this website would benefit many students. It will help students learn how to research and navigate through Internet pages and how to share links from different articles. The website has many different categories of articles for students to choose from. Chapter three Integration corner has many different websites that will be beneficial to many students. 

Module B Integration Exercise

Searching through the Integration corner I found the Burlington County Library Internet for kids. I like this website because it teaches kids the basics of the Internet. The website shows students how to practice using the mouse, learn how to scroll, and how to use links. Students who use this site will have a basic understanding of the Internet and what it is about. In my classroom I would use this website. I would take a day and go to the computer lab and let the students search and play with the website and see what they learn and if they like it. That way if the students needed help I would be there to assist them. Once they were comfortable with the website they could use it elsewhere than school. This website provides many useful features that will keep the students entertained and they will want to use the website to learn more about using the Internet and the many features it has to offer. Another website I found that I would like to share is Surfing for ABCs. This website is very beneficial for students who are learning their ABCs. The website provides and example for each letter and what the letter stands for. This website is great and I would use it to help my students learn. The integration corner has many useful websites but searching through them I found two that are beneficial and will help many students as they continue through school.
