Module E Integration Exercise

Researching through Chapter five Integration corner I found many websites that are great for students and teachers. I found two that I would like to share with everyone that I found beneficial. The first one is the learning planet. This website is fun and has different games for different grade levels.  The website allows students to learn the alphabet, practice math skills, play crossword puzzles and word searches. The website also has a membership that they offer. On the other hand everything I went through was free. The website provides many activities for students and teachers. I enjoyed looking through the site and it’s very easy to use. The other website I found is Pics4Learning. This is a great website for helping students learn many different facts. When I was researching through the site I chose American Sign Language and it offers the alphabet and numbers. I thought that was great. Personally, I really like the website and I’m happy I came across it so I can share with others. I think with technology today sign language is going to become really important to more people. This website would be great for students to take a look at when they are at home because it’s very easy to read and the pictures are great. The website also offers different pictures and facts on many other subjects. After researching through chapter five Integration corner I have found two great websites that are easy to use and are beneficial to students and teachers.

  1. I enjoyed the Learning planet website as well. I think this website would be worth paying a membership fee. I too, looked at the free games they offered and enjoyed Monster Crossing and The Matching Game.

I checked out Pics4Learning and found it to be quite informative. I will be using some of the pictures from the “countries” portion to complete one of Module E Lab assignments.

  3. I can't tell you how much I've learned from crossword puzzles, vocabulary-wise. That's great. And I really think it's valuable for the kids to learn extra-curricular things like sign language and things like that if they so choose, because it makes them stand out in the crowd.

  4. I looked at the Pics4Learning site and loved all the different pictures available. The sign language was great because it offered the letters and the numbers. I would definitely print that one out to use. I also enjoyed this site because the pictures are really good. The spacey math was fun at learning planet. I tried each of the four different math types. The kids will have fun learning without realizing it. The free daily games are fun also. All in all it was a good site to use.

  5. I checked out the Pics for learning website. This is a great free resource for pictures that teachers and students both can use in projects. It's great to know about it. I think kids would love the interactive games on the Learning Planet. I did notice that it had a lot of free games as well as the ones that you had to be a member to use. It might well be worth the membership fee though to have access to all of the site and its offerings.

  7. Yeah there were some pretty great websites. They are very beneficial. They give students a chance to show their cultural diversity by helping them to learn sign language. By using games, crosswords, word searches and other tools that can help the communication bridge for students development.

  8. Learning planet was amazing, I am not sure which part I liked the most. The way that they organized everything is a definite plus when wanting to find something specific to do with your kids. I would recommend this site to just about anyone.
