Chapter four Integration Corner has some very useful website’s that can be very beneficial to teachers, parents, and students. I came across three websites I would like to share with everyone. The first website I enjoyed looking at is Children’s Storybooks online. This site offers a variety of stories for every reading level. I chose one of the stories named “The Farm Animals” This particular story would read the words to you and make the sound of all the animals so the child would know. I think that is great because a good study tip for me is putting sounds together with pictures and words. So in my opinion I think this website is great for helping children through their learning process. Another website I found that was interesting is Plane math. This website helps students with math. It’s a user friendly website and a child would enjoy learning and studying their math this way. I enjoyed doing some of the exercises myself. The website was developed with the help of NASA. It’s a fun and easy way to learn math skills. The last website I would like to share with everyone is Busy teacher’s café. The website is focused on kindergarten through third grade. The website provides quizzes, printables, graphics, and fun activities for teachers to use in their classrooms, and much more. It’s a great website that offers a lot for teachers and a place to get new ideas. Chapter four offers many great websites for everyone to use and benefit from.
I found the website you are referring to and I enjoyed it as well. I especially enjoyed the storybooks because of the pictures and sounds. I think this is great for the children for learning. Furthermore, I think these story books would be great for children with learning disabilities. For example, children with Autism learn better from repetitive pictures and sounds. I have a cousin with autism and he uses things like this in his school. Great website!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the website would be great for children with learning disabilities. I would like to teach children with learning disabilities so I like to research websites that would be beneficial for them. I really enjoyed the storybooks website.
ReplyDeleteThose first two websites did not really catch my eye as much as the last one you referred to did. Busy Teacher's Cafe was my favorite one thus far because it just had everything I needed to help in the classroom and made everything look so easy.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Busy Teacher's Cafe. It seems several people liked this site. It has a lot to offer. I also like the Children's storybook online. It is good for children in ESOL as it will help them sound words out.
